FRP water tanks are mainly classified into two types: FRP assembled FRP water tanks and SMC water tanks. SMC water tanks have the characteristics of:Light weight, no rust, and no leakage,superior water quality ,wide range of applications,long service life,good thermal insulation properties,attractive appearance, easy installation, simple cleaning and repair,high adaptability,etc..They are an ideal storage solution for potable water, firefighting water, and industrial water applications.

 

The structural design of modular water tanks is determined through calculations of strength and stiffness. The design objectives include aesthetic appearance, convenient construction, and easy assembly or disassembly. The block is reinforced with a spherical surface design, giving them unique features and innovations compared to steel panel water tanks or concrete water tanks. Although the initial investment for a modular water tank may be higher than that of traditional water tank,their advantages such as lightweight, easy installation, and simple maintenance—make them highly popular among users.

 
Installation & Commissioning Notes
The tank foundation can be made of concrete beam or I-beams.
 
Air filter vents are installed diagonally on the top of the tank.
 
Internal tie rods are used throughout the tank interior.
 
All pipe connections are equipped with 1.0MPa standard flanges.

Installation Method

1. During installation, maintain a service clearance of no less than 800mm between the tank body and walls, and no less than 500mm at the top and bottom.

2. During civil work, construct concrete strip foundations first.

3. After assembly, close the outlet pipe and drain pipe, open the inlet pipe, and fill the tank with water. The tank is considered qualified if no leakage is observed after 24 hours.

4. The construction site must provide power supply and water for seal checks.
